Made for the 50th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution. The Gémes Kut was often the last thing Hungarians escaping the soviet oppression saw and was a symbol of hope. This painting is meant to symbolize that hope of a better future after leaving a country stigmatized by soviet rule. Acrylic with collage of revolution images.
