My first self-portrait done in a while. I did this entirely from observation in about two hour-and-a-half sessions. It was a blast trying out different cutting techniques to get various textures, and it was even more exciting when I went to print it for the first time. I do need to learn how to use black space better, though...not everything needs to be carved up or textured! Birch plywood, water-soluble relief ink.
