As a Hungarian it interests me a lot why and how this theme came to you. A Hussar in Russia: what was he doing there? (Appearingly he is just escaping ;) )

I know that the origin of the \'hussar\' word is hungarian, but hussars regiments (light cavalary) were widly used by almost all europeans countries. In Russia there were hussars regiments from 18th till 20th century (till \"real\" Russia was destroyed by revolution in 1917 ).
This one is from napoleonic wars period. When Grande armee invaded Russia. The Orthodoxal Church always was a uniting force in hard times for Russian people.
