Hey, nice to see these great portraits here! It\'s a very interesting series. I\'d be really curious to read a few lines about them if possible - I mean if you had to submit also a thesis together with the paintings, you could probably quote a small part of it as a description.

Thank you! I added part of my abstract (from my thesis) to the description of painting Wei Ling. Hope that it explain some of my thoughts :)

Somehow it is not saved so I put it here: A series of oil paintings, the so-called reverse portraits, were executed in the artistic part of the Bachelor’s thesis. The compositions of the characters in the paintings followed a traditional arrangement style of a portrait, but as a radical contrary to conventional, their backs are turned towards the viewer. The main focus of the portraits is on the hair and their different braiding styles.
The aim of my thesis was to present a new perspective for old-fashioned portrait painting and to further expand its possibilities of expression. Personally, I wanted to paint something beautiful and challenging, which hair certainly is in my opinion.
