Chine Collé is nothing else than a mixture of collage and printmaking.
It is not a "chinese collage" but means chine= a very thin tissue; and colle= glue.
Here the etching is printed on this thin green paper, which is fixed during this high pressure print process on the selfmade paper. Afterwards the monoprint eyes are added. The white gaps in the green paper are cut outs.
